Honey Soy Chicken Drumsticks
You’ll need:
- 8 – 10 Fresh Chicken Drumsticks
- 2 Spring onions – green part sliced for garnish
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 Tbsp rice wine (mirin)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp minced ginger
- 1 Tbsp roasted sesame seeds
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- A few sprinkles of ground black pepper
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients together for the marinade.
- Place drumsticks in a large container and pour the marinade over to cover all drumsticks. Cover and refrigerate over night.
- Heat oven to 180°C
- Place drumsticks in a large ovenproof roasting dish. Pour over enough marinade to coat the drumsticks.
- Roast in the oven for approx. 40 – 50 minutes or until drumsticks get a slightly burnt looking skin.
- Take out and sprinkle spring onion over then serve with fried rice or your chosen accompaniment.
